Bird Pick Tea has become one of my favorite places. I went this weekend to stock up as I was running low on some of my favorites.
They are serious about the tea, but not in an intimidating or snobby way. You are encouraged to walk around their pretty store and smell the different varieties of tea. They have a huge selection and they all (well almost all) smell so tempting (I just don’t like the rooibos teas). And they give out free samples, what’s not to like?
I love wandering around looking for new teas, but I always end up taking home at least one bag of “The Best Tea in All the Land.” It’s called Supreme Ginseng Oolong and apparently it is only available in the store because I can’t find it online. Everyone I serve it to comments on how good it is. Even people who never drink tea.
The other thing that they do really well are the blossoming teas. These are a little lighter, sometimes they taste fruity, and they are so beautiful to watch opening up in the teapot. The best way to serve them is in a glass teapot (yes, they sell those too, but I just use my french press without the press).
All photos by me except the last one which is from here. I am in no way connected with Bird Pick Tea, I just like the store and the products.
