These beautiful lighting fixtures are handmade by a small company in New York. I am completely taken with this idea – these lights are made from plastic 6-pack rings! Often we see art installations and pieces reusing post-consumer waste, but rarely are those materials used in home design elements (especially in a recognizable form). These pendants and chandeliers are beautiful in their own right. From the photos the light they produce looks soft and welcoming.
From the website: “Each one is carefully, handcrafted and packaged using upcycled materials. They come fully assembled, completely wired, and include an energy efficient LED lightbulb. All you have to do is open the box and hang!”
“Relevé Design transforms commonly discarded materials into new useful lighting, home accessories, and furniture. By injecting a hefty dose of design into upcycling, we make beautiful and desirable objects that happen to be eco-friendly too.”
