Rug Angst

Posted by on October 2, 2011

I have been looking for new rugs for the living room and dining room for, seriously, 2 years.  For whatever reason, I think that this purchase has to be perfect.  That I will have these rugs for the rest of my life and I must LOVE them.  Because, in actuality, I will probably have these rugs for the next 20 years (at least) and if I don’t LOVE them I will still put up with them.  It’s a major purchase is what I am saying.  At this moment these are the front runners.  All are from  because they deliver right to my door (important because large rugs don’t fit in my small car) and they are reasonably priced.

Amy Butler, pretty, bold pattern, feminine but not too girly.  It could work. Perhaps a bit pricy.

Similar, less pricy, more girly.

I am not totally sold on the mustard color, but I like the pattern very much.

I like the extreme asymmetry of this one.  The green might be too intense.

Maybe too understated, and girly?  But it is still quite pretty.

I am no closer to this purchase than I was 2 years ago.  The beige carpet remnants that I am currently using as area rugs are slowly breaking down and fraying away.  And still I waver.
